Stage and screen
Theatre and musicals
Comedies, operetta, musical theatre: the stage has been part of Jeane Manson's life since the 1980s.
The 1980s
She appeared in Édouard Bourdet's “Le Sexe faible”, directed by Jean-Laurent Cochet, with Patachou and Michel Creton at the Théâtre Hébertot, then in Jean Poiret's “La Présidente”, with Roland Giraud, at the Théâtre des Variétés. At the Théâtre Marigny she was Dulcinea in the musical “L'Homme de la Mancha”, with Jean Piat and Richard Taxi.
Operetta and opera
In 1992 she played Odette in the operetta “Dédé” at the Théâtre des Célestins in Lyon, directed by Jean-Paul Lucet. She also sang in Oscar Straus's “Les Trois Valses” at the Opéra de Marseille. In 2007 she premiered “Sans Famille” at the Opéra de Nice, a musical show by Jean-Claude Petit based on Hector Malot.
Un Homme parfait
In 2004 she played in “Un Homme parfait” with Guy Montagné, at the Théâtre de la Michodière and on tour.
Des Larmes de Crocodiles
In this comedy by Claude Cohen and Thierry Crouzet, a family gathering at a Swiss clinic brings old grudges and secrets back to the surface. The reunion takes an unexpected turn, with arguments, misunderstandings and biting humour.
Jeane Manson plays Bethsabée, known as Beth, a strong-willed opera singer. Opposite her, Popeck plays Salomon, her former husband. Their exchanges bring comic acting together with the world of the diva.
